Key Projects

  • Australian Nursing Home Management System (2017 - current)

This journey began with a compact team of four developers and three QAs, focused on developing a critical system that linked pharmacies and nursing homes, simplifying medication administration for residents. My perspective shifted significantly after a trip to our Sydney headquarters, leading to my promotion as manager. Until today, the team has expanded dramatically to include 14 developers, 16 QAs (covering both manual and automation testing), and 2 Business Analysts. Embracing a Kanban framework and an Agile approach, we maintain a predictable release schedule, deploying major updates monthly and hotfixes as needed to address production concerns swiftly.

  • US Security Platform Management Applications (2019 - current)

I led a local team of four developers on a critical platform utilized by banks, financial firms, and notably, the US Department of Defense. We collaborate globally with teams across the US, UK, and India to build and maintain these products. Specializing in the frontend applications—the face of the product—my team is responsible for investigating, addressing, and delivering solutions for production issues, striving to keep them at a minimum. We also contribute to automation test development and ensure high unit test coverage to maintain code quality.

  • New Zealand Kiwifruit Export Management System (2013-2017)

A unique experience of joining a project centered on a decade-old ecosystem that manages every business aspect from growers in orchards to packing workers and market distribution. I initially boarded as the sole engineer to learn the client's complex business and applications. This afforded me the opportunity to form a team to support the system's ongoing development. Working with outdated technologies presented challenges in translating evolving business needs into new features and continuously improving existing products. To foster a deeper understanding and provide direct support, we also make annual trips to New Zealand during their open season to assist business users on-site.

Accomplishments

Scaled an Offshore Development Center (ODC) from 7 to 32 billable members for a key Australian healthcare client (2017-2025), significantly expanding delivery capabilities and product business coverage.

Led cross-functional and geographically dispersed teams to successfully deliver multiple products in various business domains, managing projects with timelines between 2-12 months from initiation to deployment.

Served as the primary client liaison for new business development and product consultation, fostering strong relationships while simultaneously developing and leading internal training sessions on emerging technologies.

Promoted to Manager on customer’s demand after Sydney trip to visit the headquarter.

Participating in the whole development cycle with the whole system sits on Azure Cloud adopting a large collection of resources in various types and technologies; including CICD setup using GitHub and Azure DevOps.

Also contribute to automation test development and ensure high unit test coverage to maintain code quality. The product employs Jenkins to continuous deploy to AWS and GCP but the team doesn’t take part in most of them except as users to build and deploy instances.

  • Multi-purpose Social Network Ecosystem (2023-2025)

Spearheaded the development of the Social module within a comprehensive social network ecosystem, integrating diverse functionalities including e-commerce and booking by empowering the Java microservice architecture and several cross-connecting Angular applications.

As Assistant Architect, I collaborated closely with the lead Architect to define the overall technical vision and ensure seamless inter-module communication. Orchestrated project structures, streamlined documentation, and optimized communication workflows across all modules, fostering a cohesive development environment. Led deployment and migration planning to ensure smooth and efficient product releases whilst conducted rigorous code reviews across frontend, backend, and mobile applications, enforcing consistent implementation standards and elevating overall code quality.

By the end of 2024, team size has reached 200 developers working together under 6 Product Owners.
