Supporting the Environmental Field Operation team in the monitoring supplier fulfillment of all adidas environmental programs requirements and targets

• Reinforce suppliers' investments / efficiency actions if needed
• Further strengthen the message to suppliers which are under performed or facing critical issue.
• For wastewater, support Chem team to handles the non-compliance case (for those supplier is not under EMeReT data reporting)
• Secure the env compliance for the facilities out of env program coverage, in particular on Coal phase out
• Provide the latest supplier status to Env team in case any change in business status

Role: Manager, Traceability Excellence

T1, T2 execution of Traceability process

• Manage and assist establishment of global traceability within adidas, create new adidas policies / Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and systems/tools (e.g. SMTT 2.0) in collaboration with internal and external parties.
• Center of excellence of (new) materials traceability systems/tools, proactively provide business insights and requirements to enable traceability performance of the assigned geography / supply base.
• Drive implementation of adidas traceability initiatives. Onboard internal and external stakeholders through trainings and provide guidance for related processes or systems/tools.
• Monitor process and assess user performance for the assigned supply base. Proactively identify risks, conduct root cause analysis and develop solutions with relevant stakeholders (incl. operations improvement plans, user trainings / communications, system enhancements, etc.) and strive for traceability improvements.
• Perform and organize audits to secure compliant process execution and data accuracy in traceability tool are achieved.
• Develop a strong degree of knowledge in materials traceability processes, SOPs, tools/ systems to assimilate interdependencies to other processes/SOPs/systems.
• Facilitate best practice exchange and continuous improvement efforts proactively in other regions and/or other relevant stakeholders.
• Assist other sustainability / materials initiatives as appropriate after traceability processes and systems/tools are running smoothly.

This role included the management of environmental and social projects under the Saitex Sustainability umbrella, reporting to the Sustainability Manager

Environmental Management

• Co-operate with HSE team to build up the process on Environmental impact reduction, analyzed processes to improve efficiency, waste-management and energy consumption. Achievement on 98% Recycle water + 2% evaporated = ZERO discharge, deploying an aerial-drying system, recapturing heat, using natural lighting, and investing into solar energy, we have reduced our energy usage by 13 million kilowatt-hours per year – and reduced CO2 emissions by nearly 80%.
• Responsible person for calculating LCA in process and product level by using Ecochain software (Life Cycle Assessments (LCA), to measure & improve the environmental footprint of your products, or product portfolio.
• Participated in assisting Saitex’s installation of a 3MW solar system and set up carbon offsetting projects, including connecting with potential vendors and giving advice on vendor selection.
• Participated in brand communications to worked with customers on promoting product-level sustainability, helping brands for their reporting processes.
• Advise Board of Directors on Green Project to work with local NGO on planting 6,000 trees in the industrial park and 50 hectares of mangroves in the country to offset carbon emissions, helping to progress the Saitex Mill towards carbon neutrality by 2025.
• Participate on REKURT project of material upcycling waste & stock garments, giving a new life to the products, and simultaneously tackling textile waste.

Social projects

• Supporting CSR team in communicating and managing accessibility, recruitment and training of 70 people with different abilities on REKUT Social project to create a world with no barriers and give people from disadvantaged backgrounds an equal and open opportunity.
• Participated on 1st stage of regenerative Agriculture project to build a team of 5 people to manage 3 hydroponic containers and 1 greenhouse. The target of this hydroponic farming system and organic farming fields occupy 40% of the space and will produce 6 tons of clean vegetables per year to feed employees and local communities.
• Participated in empowering the Next Generation project, supporting 3 orphanages that house 800 children. As these children turn 18, they are offered the opportunity to be trained at SAITEX, and offered jobs with equal pay, respect, and dignity.

Lecturer in Applied Informatics in Geo-environment

This role worked as a Water Resources Researcher to implementation of Water Hydraulic/Hydro-Meteorological Modeling to monitor the impact of changing water discharge, sedimentation, agriculture chemicals and climate change in a large river basin.

• Modeling of Environmental Models (Hydrology and Hydraulics) and technical programs in Environmental Science.
• Participated in with EIA projects in Mekong River Basin and some domestic river basins in Central Highland of Vietnam (Srepok, Sesan river Basin) and Han River basin in South Korea.
• Experience in managing projects, writing academic proposals, articles and budgets.

Works as an assistant Researcher on Modeling and writing academic journals

• Experience in Hydrological Modelling (SWAT, HEC-HMS, VMod)
• Experience in Hydraulics Modelling (HEC-RAS, Telemac, Mike1,2D)
• Experience in programming R, Fortran 99, Matlab, Remote Sensing and Satellite data
• Experience in writing academic proposals, articles and journals.
